About this app
With the VRM News app you receive the latest news from your region, Germany and the world. So you always know what's happening in your home country and the world - whether in business, politics or sport.
The VRM news app contains:
+ Allgemeine Zeitung (e.g. Mainz, Alzey, Bingen, Ingelheim)
+ Wiesbaden courier (including Wiesbaden, Taunus, Rüdesheim, Eltville)
+ Wormser Zeitung (including Worms, Wonnegau, Monsheim, Eich)
Functional scope and content:
+ More regional news: Current and local news from your desired region - now with even more selection in the "Local" section. Note: If the department remains empty, please empty the app cache via the settings and reinstall the app again.
+ Multiple selection: In the departments with a drop-down menu, you can select several contents at the same time, e.g. news from Mainz 05 and SV Darmstadt 98.
+ Font size function: The font size can be adjusted at any time both within the article (via the icon at the top right) and via the "Change font size" menu settings.
+ Push messages: Stay up to date and subscribe to your favorite topics as a push channel. After the update, please check the settings for the push topics (top right in the menu > Settings > Push notifications). Behind the bell is an inbox that collects all new push messages for you.
+ Memo list: Save articles for later and then read them when you have time and peace.
+ News widget: load the news widget on your smartphone's home screen. This keeps you informed without having to open the app and you can jump directly to articles that you want to find out more about.
+ National news from the fields of sports, my top club, politics, business and culture.
Ease of use:
+ When you start the app for the first time, select your desired region. The content of the news app adapts automatically.
+ In the second step you will be asked for your desired push channels. You will later receive messages directly on your device for the categories you have selected.
+ You can change the region and the push channels at any time via the Settings menu item.
+ You can easily swipe through the departments and articles.
