Best app for beginning students. Enforces correct stroke order and introduces basic vocabulary. Sometimes the romanization system is inconsistent, but this will prepare the student for the real world in its own way. Advanced students may get impatient with having to unlock tests by going through stroke order tracing, but I think it's worth it for beginner students to have an enforced order of learning.
English doesn't make sense. Lock system works well, but is confusing at first (the first set look locked when they simply aren't cleared). Good writing practice, but no recognition practice first. Tests have random timers that are largely meaningless. Nice vocabulary introduction too, but why not use hiragana words with hiragana and katakana words with katakana instead of the current mix?
I like how they help expand your vocab as you are learning each letter from hiragana or katakana. I dislike however how you can't listen again during test.
It's a good learning tool to start off with. I do wish the had a pay version to keep away the adds. I like the coin mechanic that rewards you for practice.
I love it right now because I need to learn more about Japan because am half Japan and am in Japan and I want to go to Japan school by now I can
Great for beginners I use a few apps and find this one easy and fun to learn by. My 7 year old daughter loves trying to learn as well, and thinks the is app fun.
