Foretell shows you the weather — clearly, beautifully, and without the noise of accounts, advertising, or analytics.

A 96-point hero temperature sits over a gradient that shifts with sunrise, sunset, and the conditions outside. Beneath it: an hour-by-hour outlook, a 7-day breakdown with precipitation traces, and a bento grid of the details you actually want — feels-like, wind, gusts, humidity, dew point, UV, visibility, pressure, and sunrise/sunset.

• Live conditions tuned for legibility
A calm dark theme with frosted glass surfaces, weather-aware backdrops, and typography sized to read at a glance.

• 7-day forecast
Daily highs and lows with weather codes and precipitation traces, so you can plan around the rain.

• Hourly outlook
The next 24 hours hour-by-hour, with day/night shading so you can see exactly when the front rolls in.

• Detailed metrics
Feels-like, wind speed and gusts, humidity, dew point, UV index, visibility, pressure, and sunrise/sunset — each in its own tinted bento card.

• Multiple cities
Swipe between every place you care about, from your current location to a holiday destination. Add cities through fast type-ahead search; remove them with a tap.

• City photographs
Saved cities are paired with a representative image pulled from Wikipedia so the saved-locations tab feels less like a list and more like a postcard rack.

• Severe-weather alerts
When conditions cross safety thresholds (high winds, heavy rain, extreme UV, thunderstorms, extreme heat or cold), Foretell surfaces a contextual in-app banner with recommended actions — and, when you opt in, posts a local notification on your device.

• Morning forecast notification
Optionally get a one-line summary of today's forecast delivered to your home screen at the start of the day. Scheduled locally on your device.

• Background refresh
With your permission, Foretell wakes periodically to refresh your saved cities so notifications stay current even when the app isn't open.

• Units that fit you
Toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit, and between km/h, mph, m/s, and knots, from a single settings screen.

PRIVACY

Foretell is built around minimum data collection:

• No user accounts. No sign-ups.
• No advertising, no analytics SDKs, no behavioural trackers.
• Your preferences, saved cities, and cached forecasts live in a local database on your device — never uploaded to a server we operate.
• Location is requested only "while in use" and never written to a remote server.
• Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. No push tokens leave your phone.

Forecast data is fetched directly from Open-Meteo with no identifier linking the request back to you. City imagery is fetched directly from Wikipedia under their reuse terms.

Weather forecasts are predictions, not facts. They can be wrong, especially in fast-changing or severe conditions.
