[Please note first]
What this app gives you is a guide, not an exact time. A real microwave heats differently depending on the size of its cavity and how much food is in it, so warm things in short bursts and check as you go.
It carries no per-food heating times, because food that is under-heated can make you ill.
It does not handle defrost, auto or reheat modes either, since those differ from model to model.
It works out no power consumption and no running cost: the wattage printed on a microwave is its output, which is a different number from the power it draws.
It does not convert oven or toaster temperatures. There is no timer, no alarm and no notification.

⇅ Microwave Watt Converter — how long to heat when the watts differ
The recipe says 500 watts. Your microwave is 600.
This works out the minutes and seconds to set instead.
■ The time is set to keep watts times minutes the same
500 W for 3 min 00 sec comes to 1500; 600 W for 2 min 30 sec comes to 1500 as well.
The time is worked out to keep that number the same.
It is rounded to whole seconds, so multiplying the minutes and seconds shown back out can come to a few off.
■ Subtracting seconds never works
Drop 100 watts, from 600 W to 500 W, and 3 min 00 sec becomes 3 min 36 sec.
Raise the same 100 watts, from 500 W to 600 W, and 3 min 00 sec becomes 2 min 30 sec.
Same 100 watts either way, yet it grows by 36 sec and shrinks by only 30 sec.
That is what this app is for.
■ Two ways to look at it
New time — pick the recipe wattage and time and your own wattage, and you get the new time, the same time counted in seconds, and the difference from the original
Quick table — pick a common pair and you get the times for 1, 3, 5 and 10 minutes
Tap a category chip to switch between them.
■ The wattages you can pick
500 / 600 / 700 / 800 / 900 / 1000 / 1200 / 1500
These are not a standard; they are the numbers that turn up on recipes and on real machines.
You tap to pick them, so there is nothing to mistype. The time you type in minutes and seconds.
■ Ten pairs in the quick table
For 500 to 600, one minute is 0 min 50 sec, three is 2 min 30 sec, five is 4 min 10 sec and ten is 8 min 20 sec.
Both directions of each pair are listed, so you can see on one screen that the same 100 watts does not add and subtract the same number of seconds.
■ Common patterns
500W 3 min → 600W
600W 3 min → 500W
500W 5 min → 700W
600W 1 min 30 sec → 800W
1000W 1 min → 600W
500W 10 min → 600W

■ Things worth knowing (included in the app)
▪ The time is worked out to keep watts times minutes the same
▪ The same 100 watts adds more seconds than it takes away
▪ Rounding to whole seconds means going back can land a second out
▪ The more food there is, the longer it takes, at the same wattage
▪ The wattage printed on a microwave is its output, not what it draws from the wall
■ How the app is built
▪ A single screen. No settings page
▪ Your last five entries are kept and can be tapped to restore
▪ The result copies with one tap
▪ Japanese and English, following your device language
▪ No account needed. Every sum runs on your device and the wattages and times you enter are never sent anywhere

Note: the answers are guides, not exact times. There are no per-food heating times, no
defrost, auto or reheat modes, no power consumption and no running cost, and no oven or
toaster temperature conversion. There is no timer, no alarm and no notification.
Different wattage? Get the minutes and seconds. Watts and time are inverse.
