NJUKA is a community app for reporting and tracking power and water outages in real time, in your area.
Outage at your home? Report it in seconds. Your neighbors are notified immediately, and you know right away if the outage affects the entire neighborhood or just your home.
WHAT IS NJUKA FOR? NJUKA gathers reports from residents to provide a clear, live view of power and water outages in an area: where, since when, and how many people are affected.
ELECTRICITY AND WATER
The app covers both services. A simple filter (All / Electricity / Water) lets you see only what concerns you.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Report a power or water outage instantly — using GPS, or by describing your location if you don't have GPS. • Confirm an outage already reported near you ("It's out at my place too") to make it more credible.
• Announce the restoration of service: when enough neighbors confirm the return of power or water, the outage is automatically closed.
• View all outages on a real-time map.
• Consult scheduled outages announced by the operator, where this information is available.
NEIGHBORHOOD ALERTS (with an account)
Follow the neighborhoods that interest you and receive a notification before a planned outage. A free account also unlocks your personal statistics and area monitoring.
NO ACCOUNT REQUIRED, AND RESPECTFUL OF YOUR PRIVACY
You can use NJUKA without creating an account. Your reports can remain anonymous. No advertising.

NJUKA is currently focused on Cameroon (scheduled outages concern areas covered by the operator). Citizen reports work wherever users are active.
