About this app
SelfNode AI is a personal assistant that runs entirely on your phone. No servers, no accounts, no telemetry — just a private language model on your device.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Chat — Have on-device conversations with a downloadable Llama model. Multiple sessions, dictation, text-to-speech, and one-tap export of any chat as Markdown.
• Knowledge Assistants — Create focused assistants with their own personality (Software Engineer, Researcher, Teacher, Legal Advisor and more). Drop in PDFs, Word documents, EPUBs, plain text or images. The assistant answers questions, cites the source document, and reasons from policy to your specific situation.
• Daily Briefing — A morning digest of today's calendar events and recent notifications, distilled into something scannable in under a minute.
• Journal — Private mood-tracked entries with optional AI reflection. Never compared, never judged.
• Memory — Long-term facts the assistant remembers across sessions, so it gets better the more you use it.
• Specialised modes — Coding, Writing, Research and Productivity, each tuned with its own prompts, sampling and (optionally) its own model.
• Build mini apps — Generate self-contained HTML forms or small apps from a prompt. Saved offline, runs in-app, no web hosting needed.
• Attachments — Drop a PDF or image into chat and ask questions. Image OCR runs on-device.

• Ollama / LM Studio / llama.cpp — Connect over Wi-Fi to a local LLM server on your laptop using Ollama-native or OpenAI-compatible streaming.
• OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude), Google (Gemini) — Bring your own API key. Keys stay in encrypted on-device storage.
PRIVACY
• Conversations, journal entries, memory facts and uploaded documents stay on this device.
• No analytics, no telemetry, no accounts.
• A "Forget everything" button wipes the lot in one tap.
• When you enable an optional cloud feature, the data goes from your phone directly to the service you chose — there is no server in the middle.
