About this game

"This reimagining of the classic Talisman gameplay in the Warhammer 40k universe is one of the most gorgeous digital board games I have ever seen." - Brad Cummings, Boardgamegeek.com

Talisman: The Horus Heresy is a digital board game based on the Talisman rule system and set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, during the cataclysmic events of the Horus Heresy.

Up to four players will be able to take control of one or more of the galaxy’s greatest heroes or most notorious villains. Taking the side of either traitor or loyalist, these Warlords will form vast companies of Space Marines, battalions of tanks and battlefleets of Spacecraft. They are the most powerful beings in the Galaxy and their followers are legion.

The new combative team play will appeal to fans of Talisman and the Horus Heresy alike. It’s a unique adaptation of Talisman that has been tailored specifically for digital platforms.

In Talisman: The Horus Heresy the player’s experience of Talisman is scaled up exponentially, exploring not a kingdom but a whole galaxy in the 31st Millennium. No longer will you be fighting for the Crown of Command, but for the very future of humanity…

- Command one of the eighteen Space Marine Legions that fought during the Horus Heresy
- Play as one of eight of the galaxy’s greatest heroes or most notorious villains such as Roboute Guilliman or Angron
- Multiplayer for up to 4 players
- Challenge or team-up with your friends locally and online
- Play against AI opponents

Great digital boardgame with stunning visuals and sound effects. The score is both beautiful and haunting. Rules and gameplay took a few play-throughs to fully understand. The game becomes easy to grasp after the initial learning curb. Lots of characters and different game modes to choose from. My only, single complaint is the lack of a Skip to Next Human Player button. Sure, you can adjust the speed of the AI opponents, but you're still waiting a good 60 seconds (with 3 AI players) between your turns. Other than that, the game is worth the price of admission.

This is a fantastic reimagining of the classic board game in the WH30/40K universe. There is so much extra content to choose from which I'd recommend but not isn't in any way compulsory. I did have an issue with my account recently and lost a load of paid content but the Nomad support team were fantastic and after a quick chat and couple of emails, they got it sorted and on a BANK HOLIDAY no less 😆. Great game, great team and totally worth 5*! (And no, they aren't paying me....yet guys?😜)

Not very interesting or complelling. The graphics are good. However, there is very little in gameplay. You move from planet to planet and fight opponents. The game play runs through the AI and a player has very little control over the outcome. If you are a talisman card game player transitioning from physical to online play you may understand the game dynamics. If you are new to this type of game the lack of rules, or back story will leave you confused. It's a paid for game. Refund please.
