Halo Merge is 2048 wrapped around a circle.
No grid. Three rings, eight slots each, and a gate at twelve o'clock that every ring
packs against.
HOW IT PLAYS
Drag along a ring and every tile on it slides toward the gate. Drag across the rings
and you push that spoke of three cells, inward or outward. Two equal numbers that end
up next to each other become one.
That is the whole game. The merge rule is the original one, untouched: one merge per
tile per move, no chaining.
WHY A CIRCLE INSTEAD OF A GRID
Classic 2048 works because of gravity: you swipe and everything slams into a wall. A
circle has no natural side, so the ring is given one - a gate, marked, at the top. The
spokes have a wall too, at the centre.
It changes how you think. On a grid you plan in rows; here a ring is a loop with one
seam, and the piece you need is often three slots away from where you want it.
WHAT IS IN IT
- Two records: your best score, and the biggest tile you have ever made
- Your game is saved after every move. Come back to it whenever
- One undo, for the move you want to understand rather than take back
- A four-step tutorial played on the real board, not a wall of text
- Plays fully offline. No wifi needed, no account, no sign-in
FOR YOUR BRAIN, NOT YOUR REFLEXES
There is no timer and nothing chases you. Every move waits for you. Put it down
mid-thought and pick it up three days later on exactly the same board.
Reach 2048. Then find out how much further the ring goes.
Slide the rings, push the spokes, merge the numbers. 2048 without a grid.
