06-03-25: It's FIXED! This app (GMCMap v1.0.4) is now working as described. The map displays as it should. I raised my rating to 5 stars. >>> IMPORTANT: This app *requires* the "Files and Media" permission so it can download and store the map files. I installed the new version 1.0.4 today but the maps did not display. I granted it the Files and Media permission, force stopped it and tried it again and... Bingo! We have maps! Thank you developers for fixing this issue.

Hey, Dennis Alexander, nice timing! I'm going to bet that if you remove that extra permission it will still work. I had posted a note about this problem on the support forums for the gmcmap dot com site and their admin replied on June 3rd that the app was fixed, the same day you posted this. :) I already had v1.0.4 installed for months and I still do. I just checked and my app permissions still show No Permissions. So it must have been a problem on their end.

Sort of worthless as the map shown is not the same data as the online map, so NOT real time. I installed because my Geiger counter, and others in the northern hemisphere, are showing a radiation spike... at least on the internet version of the map. This version shows everything is normal, but when I tap on my location, I see that I reported the spike! How exactly is this useful?
