Based on the hit board game, Oceans offers a beautifully crafted strategy game experience. The reef and 20 deep cards are completely free to play (and ad-free!), and you may also join one multiplayer game per day free. A one-time upgrade to the Complete Game features 87 Deep Cards, 21 Scenarios, and multiple hard AI personalities for endless replay fun. You can now play online against others on any platform, in real time or asynchronously. Purchasing the Complete Game allows you to create your own decks for use in singleplayer and multiplayer, and create your own multiplayer games.

Oceans was released right before the Covid spread in the U.S. , and honestly was the last board game we played before the lockdowns. I had hoped to use the app to play online with family, but there is no online features and a small micro transaction to unlock 2 player "couch coop". No biggie on the micro transaction. It's refreshing to see a 1 dollar decent unlock, effectively giving you a free demo and 1 dollar for something closer to the board game. Will review again if/when online happens

Almost brilliant - great graphics, UI and game of course is fantastic. However - there are a couple of bugs regarding zoom in of cards and deep deck being inaccessible after a while (others have mentioned). Also, I bought the deep deck upgrade package without online play, but unfortunately can't access the new deep cards without presumably the deck editor which isn't included. This is quite misleading, and I'm probably going to get this refunded if not fixed.

While playing the game on the app isn't as awesome of an experience as playing the board game itself (ie, this isn't a replacement for buying the board game), it IS really fun and it helped me learn the rules way faster and more enjoyably than I otherwise could have. I dont see myself sitting and playing this for hours, but it is a fun way to pass some time and gave me a rundown on how the game works. I would probably have spent at least a couple bucks on this app.
