About this app

Notes that are actually yours.

Notesica (pronounced NOH-teh-see-tsa) is a private, offline notes app and notepad for quick notes, checklists, to-do lists and shopping lists. No account, no cloud, no ads. Your notes are written to your phone and stay there. Pay once if you ever want to; the app is fully usable free.

WHY PEOPLE WOULD SWITCH TO NOTESICA

NOTHING LEAVES YOUR DEVICE
No account. No sign-up. No cloud. Your private notes and checklists are stored on your phone and are never uploaded anywhere, so there is nothing for us to see, sell, or lose.

COLOR-CODED FOLDERS AND SUBFOLDERS
Give each folder its own color, pick from the palette or dial in any shade. Main plus three custom folders are free, subfolders included. Split a busy folder into subfolders, then hold a note for a moment and drag it straight into one. Pin what matters, archive what is done.

A REAL EDITOR, FREE
Bold, italics, underline, strikethrough, bullet and numbered lists, checklists, quotes and code, plus undo and redo, all free. Check off a to-do list or a grocery list in the same notepad you write everything else in. Not a locked-down demo.

ONE HAND, EITHER HAND
Tell Notesica which hand holds your phone and the new-note and search buttons move within reach of that thumb. Left-handed? Finally, a notes app that asks.

RETRO OUTSIDE, MODERN INSIDE
Ivory paper, square corners and fine gold hairlines: a notebook with the warmth of software from twenty years ago, before every app went flat and gray. Underneath it is thoroughly modern: a rich-text editor, dark mode and instant search.

FIND ANYTHING, LAID OUT YOUR WAY
Search the text of your notes, their titles, or your folder names. Sort by name, date created or last edited. Show folders and notes in 2, 3 or 4 columns, each set separately. Add a private description to any note or folder, a quick memo to yourself that sits in its menu.

SMALL AND QUIET
About 5 MB for the whole note-taking app. No bloat, no AI upsell you did not ask for, no notifications begging you to come back.

NO SUBSCRIPTION, NO ADS
Notesica is not free-with-ads and it does not want a monthly fee. The app is free to use, and one optional payment unlocks the extras.

EIGHT LANGUAGES
English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, Croatian and Polish.

WORKS OFFLINE, WITH NO SIGNAL
Airplane mode, the subway, a dead zone. Notesica is an offline notepad with nothing to sync, so there is nothing to wait for. No sign-in, no sync spinner.

NOTESICA PRO - ONE PAYMENT, YOURS FOREVER

Everything above is free. Pro adds:
- Unlimited folders (the free app gives you Main plus three, subfolders included)
- Text colors and font choices

Pay once and keep it.

GOOD TO KNOW

Because nothing is uploaded, nothing is recoverable if you lose your phone. If you want a safety net, Notesica Pro backs up every note to one file you can keep somewhere safe. Notesica tells you this on first run, because we would rather say it up front than in a support reply.

What’s new

• Polish - use Notesica in Polish.
• Drag and drop - improved timing so moving notes into folders is easier and less likely to open the menu by mistake.
• Three free folders - create up to three custom folders on the free plan; subfolders count toward the same allowance.

Unlimited folders are part of Notesica Pro. Your notes stay on your device, with no account and no cloud.
