🌍 Long Range: Unlimited distance; your contacts and guardian angels receive the alert everywhere.

📡 Proximity: Alert134 users within a 1 km radius receive the alert, making your neighborhood your first line of defense.

🔁 2. Relay Alert & Signal Continuity

Alerte134's primary goal is to ensure the message gets through.

SMS Alert (Critical Core Feature): If you lose your internet connection, the app automatically switches to sending an SMS alert to your priority contacts. The app also uses SMS for the Relay Alert feature and to read received keywords to trigger an alert, ensuring your voice never goes silent, even offline.

Bluetooth Alert: If data and cellular network are down, Bluetooth relays the signal to nearby phones.

⚙️ Permissions Necessary to Save Lives

Alerte134 acts in seconds. To guarantee this effectiveness, it requests essential permissions:

📍 Location (GPS): To transmit your exact location in real time during an alert. Includes background location tracking to maintain a signal during an emergency, even when the screen is off.

✉️ SMS (Critical Core Function): Required for sending and receiving alert messages in case of internet connection loss (Relay Alert). Without this backup function, the app's critical safety mission would be compromised.

📞 Phone (Phone State – READ_PHONE_STATE): This permission is used solely to detect if the user is already on a call. If a call is active, the emergency siren will be temporarily muted or delayed. This ensures that the alert does not overwrite an existing emergency communication, optimizing alert effectiveness and user safety.

📡 Bluetooth: To propagate alerts to nearby phones without internet access.

🦻 Accessibility (BIND_ACCESSIBILITY_SERVICE): Used to detect presses on physical buttons (Volume+/Power) to trigger a discreet alert in case of emergency.
