NOURISH Durham helps you find free, fresh food in Durham County — and makes it easier to eat well once you get it home.

The app brings together the three parts of the NOURISH Durham programme: Food as Medicine, free produce distribution, and simple day-to-day self-management. It is free to use. There are no ads, nothing is sold in the app, and your information is never sold to anyone.

FIND FREE PRODUCE
• Your next distribution is the first thing you see — where it is, when it starts, and what produce to expect
• Browse every upcoming distribution by calendar, by list, or on a map
• Filter by location and by date range
• Open a site for the full produce list, the address, and anything you need to bring
• Set a reminder so you do not miss it, or add the pickup straight to your phone's calendar
• Get directions in whichever maps app you already use

TRACK YOUR FRUITS AND VEGETABLES
• Log a serving in a couple of taps — one serving is one cup, and the app tells you so
• A daily goal of five, with encouragement rather than a lecture
• Vegetables and fruit counted separately, so you can see which one is falling behind
• Look back across the month on a calendar, and open any day to see exactly what you logged
• Undo or edit anything you got wrong

COOK WHAT YOU PICK UP
• Recipes matched to the produce coming to your next distribution
• Search by ingredient, and filter by breakfast, lunch, dinner or snack
• Full ingredients and steps, prep and cook times, and how many it serves
• Save the ones you want to come back to
• Send in a recipe of your own for the NOURISH team to share with the community

• Short articles, videos and newsletters on Food as Medicine — written for real kitchens and real budgets
• Community events you can RSVP to, and recaps of the ones you missed
• Programme surveys, so you can tell the team what is working and what is not

• Notifications you control category by category, with a quiet-hours window
• Help & Support built in — raise a request and read the team's replies without leaving the app
• Delete your account and your data from Profile & Settings at any time, without asking anyone
