Bu Al-Hasan Ali bin Al-Hussain bin Ali Al-Masudi (~283 AH - 346 AH / ~896 - 957 AD) historian, geographer and pioneer of the theory of genetic deviation. One of the most famous Arab scholars. Known as Herodotus of Arabia. His nickname is Abu al-Hasan, an astronomer and geographer. He was born and educated in Baghdad, and he traveled a lot. He visited Persia, India, Ceylon, the parts of the Caspian Sea, Sudan, southern Arabia, the Levant, and the Romans. He ended up in Fustat, Egypt, and he died in Fustat.

A beautiful and very entertaining book, full of funny stories and legends. A book of very high historical value. A distinguished literary work, it is a descriptive narrative written in the antique style that can be characterized by weight, exaggeration and excessive mentioning of some marginal details sometimes, for the contemporary reader, of course. It remains a unique, rare and extremely precious work. It can be considered as an open window on a funny side of the intellectual approach, imagination and beliefs of our ancestors for more than 1000 years!
Master Oogway
- A good book, I don't know how true the written information is, but it's more like legends, perhaps.. I recommend choosing some titles and reading them. Al-Masoudi deals with most aspects with a detailed explanation of them. I did not like this method very much. In the end, a good book that answers questions I have always had, but I don't know how reliable they are. I recommend reading it.
