NovoTech Beam is the simplest way to send files or text between two devices — no accounts, no contact lists, no cloud uploads. Just a 6-character Beam Code and optionally a pin.
Generate a code on one device, enter it on the other, and your files stream directly peer-to-peer over an encrypted WebRTC connection. Works between phones, tablets, and desktops — across Wi-Fi, mobile data, or different networks entirely.
─── HOW IT WORKS ───
1. Open Beam and pick "Send". You'll get a short code like ABC-XYZ.
2. The other person enters the code (and optional 4-digit PIN) on their device.
3. Pick your files. They transfer directly, device to device, encrypted end-to-end with DTLS.
4. Done. No server ever stores your files.
─── WHY PEOPLE CHOOSE BEAM ───
• No account required — no email, phone number, or login, ever.
• No tracking of your file content, no in-app purchases.
• Peer-to-peer by default — your files never touch our servers.
• End-to-end encrypted with WebRTC DTLS on every transfer.
• Minimal permissions — Beam only requests Internet and Network State. No storage, camera, contacts, or location access.
• Works across networks — not limited to the same Wi-Fi. Cloudflare TURN relay kicks in automatically if a direct P2P path isn't possible.
• Cross-platform — send from the Android app to a web browser and back.
─── FEATURES ───
• 6-character Beam Code pairing (ambiguous characters like 0/O and 1/I are excluded so codes are easy to read out loud).
• Optional 4-digit PIN for extra protection on sensitive transfers.
• Send one file or many — batch transfers with per-file progress, speed, and overall percentage.
• Pause and resume in-flight transfers.
• Chat inside a session — send quick text messages to the other device without leaving the transfer screen.
• Saved connections — pair a device once, reconnect later with one tap.
• Transfer history — a local log of everything you've sent and received.
• Customisable download folder, device name, and code expiry.
• Dark, focused UI built around NovoTech gold-on-black theme.
─── PRIVACY FIRST ───
Beam uses a signalling server — it carries the short-lived handshake data (Beam Code, technical network descriptors) needed to introduce two devices to each other. The moment the peer-to-peer channel opens, the handshake record is discarded. Your file content never passes through our servers.
When strict firewalls or symmetric NATs make a direct connection impossible, Beam falls back to a TURN relay. Bytes transit in their already-encrypted DTLS form — the relay can't read them and doesn't retain them. A banner always tells you when relay mode is in use.
─── PERFECT FOR ───
• Quickly sharing photos or videos between your own phone and tablet.
• Sending documents to a colleague or client without email attachments or Dropbox links.
• Handing off files to someone who isn't in your contacts — just read them a 6-character code.
• Moving files between Android and a desktop browser without a USB cable.
• Anyone who wants Airdrop-style simplicity without the Apple ecosystem.
