I use Signal Spy because it replaces the clunky "Project Fi" with it a small network icon identifying the currently connected network, usually a small T-Mobile, sometimes Sprint and rarely a US Cellular icon. When requested, the info display is clean and informative. I haven't have a major need for details the last few years.
Good app, been using it since I got fi. The original problem I had was due to not understanding the new notification system in Oreo, and now I'm happy to say that my experience is perfect! Amazing app!
App constantly crashes on 8.+ A link to dialer codes are included but that is not useful if you don't have service. Leaving accessibility mode on is hindering. Comment responses to by the developer to customers are patronizing and rude.
With the latest version, when changing carriers with the dialer code from the app, the icon doesn't reflect the new carrier with the correct icon unless you tap on the app from the notification swipe-down.
Dialer has quit working, project fi Nexus 5x was fine, Moto x4 dialer doesn't work to modify network provider or other dialer codes
