ChoreCoins is an app for families that motivates children to complete chores through a points and reward system.
How does it work?
Parents define tasks (e.g., "Clean your room = 20 points") and rewards (e.g., "30 minutes of extra screen time = 50 points"). The child completes the task, takes a photo as proof, and submits it through the app. The parent receives a push notification, reviews the photo, and approves it—the points are credited to the child's account. The child can redeem the collected points for rewards determined by the parent. Parent Features:
• Creating and managing tasks with custom points and icons
• Creating rewards redeemable for points
• Viewing task submissions with photos
• Approving or rejecting submissions
• Manually adjusting a child's points
• Tasks without a photo required or with automatic awarding of points
• Push notifications for new submissions and reward requests
Child Features:
• To-do list with point count
• Submitting tasks via camera roll
• Sharing points with siblings for a shared task
• Redeeming points for rewards
• Viewing current point balance
Security:
The app operates in a closed family environment. Only those whose email address the parent has added to the list can join the family. Data is stored in Google Firebase and is not shared with third parties.
Requirements:
• Google account for each family member
• Internet connection
