About this game

Remigio is a card game played with a Spanish deck. You receive ten cards, which you combine into sets and runs, and you must go out before the other players. The player who goes out doesn't score any points. The rest of the players count their remaining cards. Anyone who goes over the limit is eliminated, and the last player remaining at the table wins.

You can play alone against the computer, create a room with a code, or sit at a public table. The rules are in the app. There are no bets or real money involved: the game is played for points.

How to play

Each hand starts with 10 cards. On your turn, you draw one card (from the stock or from the top of the previous player's pile) and discard another face up to your own pile. You can never draw twice. After discarding, your hand returns to 10.

A set consists of at least three cards: the same rank (any suit) or a run of the same suit. The ace is either Ace-2 or Knight-King-Ace; never both in the same run. The wild card can substitute for any card.

If your remaining 10 cards are in a meld, you discard face down and reveal your hand. A meld, a flush, or a straight flush multiplies your opponents' points. Only single cards count in the scoring: Ace is worth 1; 2 through 9 are worth their rank; Jack, Queen, and King are worth 10; a single Joker is worth 0. A tie at the limit is still valid.

The deck is Spanish: coins, cups, swords, and clubs, without tens. After the 9 come Jack, Queen, and King. There are two decks on the table (100 cards and 4 Jokers). Each player has their own discard pile. If a deck runs out, all decks are shuffled and a new one is formed.

Modes

Normal Game. You against computer opponents, 2 to 6 seats. You choose the point limit (from 50 to 1000), the length of your turn, and the CPU wait time. Each opponent has a skill level: novice (plays randomly), intermediate (tries not to leave any loose ends), or expert (remembers discards and draws). You can pause the hand.

Online game. Create a room for 2 to 6 players or join with a 4-character code. Share the invitation so others can join. Online, the turn continues uninterrupted; there are no pauses.

Public rooms. Open tables for 2, 3, 4, or 5 players, with 60 seconds per turn. Join the one you want to play.

At the table

You can reshuffle your hand by pressing and holding a card. Closing out is an explicit action, not an accidental discard. The direction of play is the same as always: cards are dealt to the right of the dealer.
