NTsocial is a peer-to-peer communication app that does not depend on a central server. When internet access or cellular service is unavailable, supported devices can still exchange messages over a BLE mesh. Wi-Fi and LoRa add higher-speed and longer-range paths when compatible hardware is available.
BLE, Wi-Fi, and LoRa
• BLE is the baseline path for nearby discovery, message relaying, history sync, images, voice messages, and push-to-talk.
• BLE Long Range Mode is available on compatible devices with LE Coded PHY.
• High-speed Wi-Fi can sync history and transfer large files in private chats. NTsocial prefers Wi-Fi Aware, with native Android Wi-Fi Direct as a fallback. A compatible Windows Direct path is also available for manually end-to-end encrypted file sessions. No internet connection or cloud server is required.
• File transfers support accept or decline, resume, progress display, and SHA-256 integrity verification. File data is never sent over LoRa.
• Install the separate, free, open-source NTsocial MeshLink app and connect compatible Meshtastic hardware to carry mapped channel text and sync data over LoRa. BLE remains active for nearby communication and media.
Up to four Meshtastic hardware nodes
With NTsocial MeshLink, one phone can register up to four Meshtastic hardware nodes. Each NTsocial channel can bind one Meshtastic channel from each node, allowing the same NTsocial channel to map to as many as four hardware nodes at once. MeshLink manages the radio connections, while NTsocial manages the conversation interface and message history. LoRa features require the separate MeshLink app and Meshtastic hardware.
Optional manual end-to-end encryption
Users can enable a higher-assurance end-to-end mode for private messages. After both people enter the same shared secret on their own devices, NTsocial derives a 256-bit private-message key. The shared secret is not exchanged over BLE. This mode can protect private text, images, voice messages, and private files. It is manually enabled; not every private-message state should be treated as having the same level of end-to-end protection.

Roadmap
MeshCore is not included in this release. The next planned step is MeshCore compatibility, moving toward a decentralized communication platform that brings together BLE, Wi-Fi, and LoRa through Meshtastic and MeshCore.
Feature availability depends on the device, Android version, permissions, and nearby peers.
