A zombie apocalypse ruled by the Red Moon.
Remember those old games where the entire world fit on a monitor screen with green text? Where monsters had to be drawn in your imagination, and every letter on the map meant something?
Red Plague is a return to that era, but with modern mechanics.
Welcome to a world post-zombie apocalypse. But the undead aren't the main problem. The real horror comes when the Red Moon rises.
🌕 A WORLD THAT CHANGES WITH EVERY SUNRISE
After the collapse of civilization, Earth's satellite fell from orbit. Now the Red Moon distorts reality. With each rise, the world is reshaped:
Buildings you explored yesterday may disappear.
Zombie corpses mutate, transforming into new life forms.
The familiar map of the area no longer works – landmarks are shifting.
It's not just the change of day. It's a new reality you need to adapt to.
👁️🗨️ RETRO-SCHOOL: TEXT AND ASCII
We've preserved the spirit of old text adventures and ASCII games (like Rogue from 1980). But we've made it easy for everyone:
Classic mode: The @, Z, and H symbols appear on the map – just like in good old roguelikes.
Low-vision mode: A full text description of the location. Your phone reads the screen, and the game says: *"You are standing near the rusty hulk of a truck. Movement has been detected 2 km north. Something glitters underfoot."* We've made the game accessible for those who can't see pixels but want to feel the atmosphere.
📦 UNIQUE ARTIFACTS: NOT JUST JUNK
The zombie apocalypse has mingled with the anomalies of the Red Moon. Now, ordinary unique items gain incredible properties. This isn't just "+5 damage." These are game-changing items.
Rusty Flashlight: In the overworld, it doesn't work. But under the Red Moon, it glows, repelling mutated creatures.
Old Photograph: If you place this in your inventory, characters begin to trust you. They believe you were one of their relatives in a past cycle.
Geodesic Marker: Find three of these and place them in the area—they will create a safe zone where anomalies don't work.
⚔️ SURVIVAL, CRAFTING, AND QUESTS
Workbench crafting: Collect parts to repair armor and your own vehicles.
Campfire cooking: Use zombie deer carcasses and found mushrooms to create a poisonous stew that will help you defeat enemies that ordinary bullets can't defeat, or a nutritious broth that can restore your health.
Quests: A group of survivors in a church asks you to bring them "living water" from an anomalous source. Can you survive the zone teeming with creatures under the Red Moon?
🕹️ KEY FEATURES:
Adaptive interface: Play the way you want—with graphics or completely text-based descriptions.
Red Moon Cycle: The world changes, enemies mutate, and items acquire hidden properties.
Unique Artifacts: Items that influence dialogue, enemy behavior, and reality itself.
Deep Crafting: From repairing items to creating anomalous devices.
Classic Roguelike: Permadeath, turn-based combat, procedural generation.
When the Red Moon rises, your old knowledge will cease to apply. Listen, feel, and survive.
