About this game

Root Deep is a calm yet tense path-planning puzzle played in a living soil cross-section.

HOW IT PLAYS
Your seed sprouts at the top of the earth. Each turn you tap one of the 8 cells around the glowing root tip and the root grows into it. Every segment costs 1 water, and when the water runs dry the root withers.

Blue droplets refill 3 water, nutrient clusters boost your score, and fertile layers are worth extra points. Soft gray rock blocks growth unless you smash it with a Rock Breaker, while dark hard-rock bands can never be broken, so smart detours matter. Some droplets hide in the soil and only Water Sense can reveal them.

Reach the glowing groundwater vein at the bottom to clear the depth. The more water you have left, the more stars you earn.
