NumenShield Guard protects you from scams, fake links, and dangerous websites with clear, straightforward language. Think before you fall: paste a link, scan a QR code, or copy a message, and we'll tell you if it's safe, suspicious, or dangerous, and why.
What it does for you:
- Verify links, messages, and QR codes: instantly analyzes and alerts you to the risk.
- Message alerts: notifies you when you receive a message that looks like a scam.
- Call protection: warns you about unknown, hidden, or community-reported scam numbers.
- Web filter: blocks access to known dangerous websites and domains.
- App review: analyzes installed apps for signs of risk.
- Data breaches: checks if your email address appears in known data breaches.
Permissions we use and why (you can grant or revoke them at any time):
- Local VPN (VpnService), for web filtering: NumenShield Guard uses Android's VpnService to create a LOCAL VPN within your device that blocks access to known dangerous or phishing sites and domains at the DNS level. This is a device security feature: it is NOT a browsing or anonymity VPN, it does not route or send your internet traffic to any external server, and all filtering happens within your phone. Your normal browsing continues to function; only domains on the threat list are blocked.
- Notification access, for message alerts: It reads the text of notifications from messaging apps to instantly warn you if an incoming message appears to be a scam. This analysis occurs within your phone; the content does not leave the device.
- Contacts, for call protection: It locally checks if an incoming number is already in your address book to alert you to calls from unknown numbers. We do not upload or share your contacts.
- Display over other apps and in full screen, for protection against potentially fraudulent calls, even over the lock screen while the phone rings.
- View installed applications for app review (antimalware): we check installed applications for signs of risk (dangerous permissions, installation source). We do not send your application list.
- Camera, to scan QR codes and verify their links.
These are all device security features and are part of the package.

- Your messages are analyzed within your phone. We do not read or
