typos and mistakes The equations are mostly correct, but variable names are swapped. The text has the wrong descriptions for some variables. Example, in the formula y = a + bx, the text describes 'a' as the slope of the regression line, and 'b' as the intercept. Then, it calculates b as the intercept and a as the slope, so the equation y= b + ax is the correct equation.

Great reference If you use stats and can't remember how to do something certain, this app is amazing. Though, as some people have mentioned, there are a few discrepancies/errors, so this app might need some revising. Still, it's mostly correct overall. It's best only to use it as a reminder or a quick reference don't depend too heavily on it.
Siddharth Krishan
I can rate this app 6/5...... Its such an awssome app that i can rate even +10 with full 5 stars.... ultimate job done by the developer..... hats off!!!!
Martyn Taylor
Good ... but be careful As someone else has pointer out, there are mistakes. In the correlation coefficient example in section 5, the sigma y, and sigma xy, both have the wrong signs. The supposed strong ve correlation is a strong +ve one.
David Shoemake
Awesome!!!! This app has all the info needed to get you through when you feel lost. Great app with great examples!

Great tool for learning and for reviewing Absolutely loved the fact that the examples and definitions were consise and meaningful. Another thing that was glorious was the fact that the explanations were constructed using proof language! This is great not only for statistics, but also for a lite review on set theory, conditional logic, and proof construction! P.s this got me aroused.

Statistics 1
$0.99 for a limited time!
Coming Soon to the Android version Quizzes & Calculators
Intro Statistics ETextbook with: lessons, flashcards, decision trees, a glossary, and a list of formulas and symbols.
It's the perfect tool for students in an intro statistics course, or professionals who need a Stats 101 book on their phone.
Statistics 1 was pilot tested in a statistics course at Abilene Christian University. Here’s what some of the students had to say:
“It gives reallife examples in each lesson and tables so I can easily reinforce the information I just read.”
“It's a great tool to go to for an easy answer. Instead of searching through a whole textbook I can click on a specific section in the app and find the answer easily and see a graph that represents the idea.”
Coming soon: Quizzes, calculators, and sims.
The app was designed by educational psychology Ph.D.s, statistics teachers, and software experts. Many of us learned stats the traditional, boring way – through books and lectures. We always wanted more interactive, visual, and engaging ways to learn stats. Stats has many abstract concepts so we use realworld examples to anchor your understanding.
"Cliff Notes Statistics" book or pdf sells for $16.99.
"Statistics for Dummies" sells for $19.99.
"The Complete Idiot's Guide to Statistics" sells for $18.95

Great for Intro Probability Statistics
courses, or if you just need these tables!
For both Phone and 10' tablets.
These tables give you the probabilities
associated with your test statistics and
parameters.
To use these tables, just select the
distribution you want, and put in the
test statistic and parameters, and the
APP tells you the related probability.
*************************************
1) For the Normal Distribution:
Enter your Z Score, and you get
the left, right tails and the range.
2) For the Binomial Distribution:
Enter n number of trials,
p probability of success,
x number of successes
and you get the probability of
x, or the cumulative probability
for x.
3) For the Poisson Distribution:
Enter the mean, and number of
occurences, and you will get
the Probability of the number
of occurences, and the cumulative
probability.
4) For the t Distribution:
Enter t and the Degrees of Freedom
and you will get the probability
of the left and right tails, and
the two tailed probability.
5) For the f Distribution:
Enter the f statistic, and the
Degrees of Freedom for the numerator
and denominator. You will get the
probability for the right tail
(alpha for the ANOVA test).
6) For the ChiSquare Distribution:
Enter ChiSquare and the Degrees of Freedom
and you will get the probability
of the right tail.
7) Inverse Normal.
Enter the probability of the
Normal Distribution left tail,
and you get the Z statistic.
8) Inverse t
Enter the probability of the
t distribution left tail, along with
the degrees of freedom, and you will
get the t statistic.
Confidence Intervals:
Sigma Known. Uses the standard
CI formula (Using Z) to determine the range with
CI% chance of containing the true mean
of the population.
Sigma unKnown. Uses the standard
CI formula (Using t) to determine the range with
CI% chance of containing the true mean
of the population.
CI for a proportion. Uses the standard
CI formula (Using p,n,Z) to determine the range with
CI% chance of containing the true mean
of the population.

R Instructor
R is a free statistical, graphing and data manipulation software. Anyone who works with data can benefit from learning R, unfortunately it is very hard to learn.
Created by Dr. Shidan Murphy, an awardwinning scientist and educator, R Instructor allows you to run RStudio through a public web server from your phone or tablet (Internet connection required do not expect a super computer this server is for experimenting with your scripts) and teaches R using plain, nontechnical language and over 30 videos. The number and scope of the videos and content will continue to increase.
R Instructor will teach you how to use R, how to make and modify plots and run statistical tests. Each example includes a very brief (and easy to understand!) description of the function or test, any statistical assumptions, how to structure your data in R, the R scripts (code) and, links to other free and online resources.
Where appropriate, the Mac, Windows and RStudio versions of the R interface are explained separately.
** As an added bonus – If you don't know the statistical test you need, use the included "Which test?" feature! Just answer the questions about your data. **
Use R Instructor to:
Run a serverbased implementation of RStudio from your mobile device. This is a shared server, and does not appear to work with the Galaxy Note series of devices.
