Obsidian Echo is a cinematic dark fantasy memory matching puzzle game set within the shattered remnants of an ancient, long-forgotten empire. Players are summoned as the Chosen Arch-Mage, tasked with restoring order to the kingdom’s memory vaults that have been swallowed by the dark magical fold. By exploring a mystical map of ten unique domains, you must challenge the shadows by matching Pairs of ancient royal symbols.

The game blends tactical memory retention with a deeply atmospheric gothic narrative, inviting you to clear the dark fog and claim the ultimate crown of the Obsidian King. The core gameplay centers around tap-only mechanics that demand absolute focus and precision. As you unveil the board, you search for identical illustrations of magical artifacts, including the glowing crown of the sovereign, shadow ravens, ancient grimoires, and crystalline stones. Across ten progressive levels, grid sizes scale from a simple, welcoming 2x2 up to a massive and challenging 6x6 deck. Successful completion requires completing levels within strictly defined limits of moves and ticking timers, forcing players to strategize their card selections to earn the legendary 3-Star perfect rating.

The journey through the obsidian depths is fraught with perilous traps known as Cursed Runes, designed to test the mental resilience of even the master players. In cursed reliquaries, two hidden tiles contain glowing crimson eye runes that, when tapped, unleash a shockwave of magical energy. Triggering this hazard immediately locks the board, deducts your moves count, and forces a dynamic reshuffle of all currently face-down tiles in the deck. This sudden shift in reality erases your memorized map, forcing you to visually track and adapt to the card pool’s new layout in real-time.
