About this game

Bass River Quest is a freshwater fishing game built around a unique tension-based gameplay mechanic that sets it apart from any other mobile fishing title. Instead of simple tapping or waiting, every catch demands real skill: select the right bait, cast your line, read the water, and when a fish strikes, engage in a dynamic reel-in battle where you must keep the line tension inside a shifting green zone — pull too hard and the line snaps, go slack and the fish escapes.

The game takes you across three distinct fishing locations — the calm, reed-lined Willow Creek, the deep open water of Cedar Lake, and the fast-moving, boulder-strewn Thunder River — each with its own ecosystem and resident species. Across 10 progressively challenging levels, you hunt six species of freshwater fish: Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Rainbow Trout, Northern Pike, Channel Catfish, and Yellow Perch. Each species behaves differently in the water, responds to different baits, swims at different depths, and fights back with its own resistance pattern during the reel.

Four bait types — worm, lure, fly, and dough — give you a tactical layer: matching bait to target species dramatically increases your chance of a successful hook-set. Getting the combination wrong means watching fish circle your hook and swim away.

Beyond the core game, Bass River Quest includes a Field Guide documenting all six species with habitat notes, weight ranges, fun facts, and preferred techniques. An achievements system tracks your progression across 12 milestones. All progress, scores, and unlocks are saved locally on your device — no account required, no internet connection needed, no data collected.

The game runs fully offline and is designed to work cleanly on both small and large Android screens.
