Turn printed words in a photo into editable text without sending the document to a cloud scanner.

Offline Text Scanner OCR gives you two simple ways to start: point the camera at a page, sign, note, receipt, or label, or choose an existing image with the Android system picker. Recognition runs on your device with the bundled Latin-script model.

• Keep broad photo-library permission turned off
• Extract printed text locally

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
The core OCR workflow does not upload your image or recognized text. No account is required. The app includes advertising; advertising-related device identifiers are disclosed separately in Google Play Data safety.

HONEST LIMITS
Recognition quality depends on focus, lighting, perspective, print style, and supported script. The bundled model is designed for printed Latin-script text and does not promise perfect handwriting recognition, translation, document archiving, or certified data capture.
