Update: I got these out and tried again to see if there were any improvements. Charged the 3 of them up, and then opened the app. It said it needed to update the software/firmware for each ball I tried, then the bar at the bottom of the screen just sat with the green dot at the beginning not ever moving. Waited over 10 minutes, nothing. App locked up. Probably bricked the balls. These could have been something great, but here we are years later, and nothing has really changed. Disappointing.

The concept is amazing but in execution, ODD is practically unusable. I've tried the software on 3 different phones (Samsung Galaxy S10+, LG V30, and Pixel 5) and each app is either unable to connect to the ball at all, drops connection mid-use and can't reconnect, or can't update (or all 3!) The app and maybe even the hardware itself are clearly not ready for market, especially at the current asking price.

Hi Steve, thank a lot for your feedback. The dropping connection can be solved by updating the firmware of the ball. Since in this case you are having issues with that we got in touch directly via email and sent over alternative steps to complete the update. Please let us know if you have any questions!

Waited almost 3 years for this and couldn't be more disappointed. I've been trying for hours to connect the ball to my phone. My phone (Galaxy 9+) can find the ball sometimes, but is never listed as an option to pair in the app. When I try to connect the ball on the phone side, i'm told I need the app. However, the app never has any options listed under Bluetooth Devices. Completely useless and a complete waste of money.

Hi Nicole, in order to connect the ball to our App, you need the location service active on your phone, which is sometimes automatically turned off to save battery. This is a requirement by Android in order to scan and find Bluetooth device like the ball within the App. Please contact support (oddballism.com/support) if you need further assistance!
