The Brite Toggle Widget allows for easy switching between three preset display brightness levels.
With the widget on the home screen you can easily select a consistent screen brightness setting based on the surrounding lighting to make for more comfortable viewing.
Tapping the widget cycles through each display brightness level. You can easily customize the desired display brightness levels. Customize the screen brightness for day, night, and outdoor use.
Using preset display brightness levels may reduce battery usage and yield more aesthetic and consistent results than most adaptive brightness settings.
The maximum brightness range can be configured to accommodate the handling of screen brightness among different devices.
Android "WRITE_SETTINGS" permissions are required in order to change the display brightness.

My phone does not have a light sensor, so a simple 3-way light switch is all I need for night, day and in sun. A simple and elegant design to accomplish a needed feature - in especially if you run out of the house for a semi-emergency and can't find the brightness up button because the screen was dimmed for night time!! Now I can just place the widget right above the center of the main page and I know where it'll be.

Simple to use, and quickly adjust brightness to 3 user set setting, this should have been a default widget. So cool I can tap on the widget and quickly move to the 3 user set setting. I put it on my home screen because in andriod basic setting I have to do 3 thing like tap,swipe,slide,before I can get to the brightness slider , so when it's too sunny outside I want a quicker way to set screen to brighter. Wish andriod engineer added a too sunny outside feature so I can see the screen.

You can select each brightness level for low, medium, and high settings. one thing, the widget states its 2x2, it would be great to have an option for 1x1, so it takes up less screen space

The exact positioning of the widget can now be adjusted within the app. To accommodate various Android versions and home screen layouts, you can now adjust the vertical positioning of the widget to align with other items on your home screen.
In the Brite Toggle App select 'Widget Install'. The top margin of the widget can be adjusted from 0-100 (default is 8).
