About this app

HULA is about dancing while imbuing words with mana (spirit).

Hula Note is a "mele (song) learning notebook" for hula dancers.

Hawaiian songs are leis woven with words. When you can correctly listen to the lyrics, understand the meaning of the words, and sing them yourself, your dance will gain soul.

Hula Note brings together functions to help you with your daily hula learning.

■ Record everything together for each mele
・My Mele Library: Register your repertoire of mele and manage them in a list. Supports search, alphabetical order, and sorting.
・Mele Note: Freely take notes on the background, story, and things you learned from your teacher (automatic saving).
・Mele Play: Register playback links from YouTube and Spotify, and audio files for playback anytime.
・Mele Lyrics: Register lyrics. They will also be displayed on the vocal training screen.
・Mele Reference: Take and save handwritten choreography notes. Save reference photos, choreography videos for each verse, etc. Supports slow playback (0.5x/0.75x) and repeat playback
* Mele Vocabulary: A function to register Hawaiian words that appear in mele (songs) and create your own vocabulary list. Supports the correct Hawaiian alphabetical order for handling okina and kahako.

■ Develop your Hawaiian language skills with three training methods
* Listening Training: Carefully listen to the audio and write down the words you hear.
* Pronunciation Training: Pronounce along with the audio while looking at the lyrics.
* Vocabulary Training: Randomly selects words from your vocabulary list. Self-scoring with "Remembered" and "Try again," and you can retest only the words you got wrong.
