Oexta Stop Motion

About this app

Bring anything to life, one frame at a time.

Clay figures, toy cars, paper cutouts, building bricks, your lunch. If you can move it, you can animate it. Oexta Stop Motion turns your camera into a full stop motion studio, and it never stamps a watermark on your film.

FREE NOW, PRO LATER
Every feature is free right now. A Pro version is coming, so this app will not stay free forever. Everyone who installs it now keeps every feature free for good, including any Pro features we add later.

SEE EXACTLY WHERE TO MOVE THINGS
• Onion skin shows your last frames as soft ghosts over the live camera.
• Choose one to five frames, set the strength and tint the older ones.
• Difference view lights up only what moved; Flip compares frames like flipping paper.

SHOOT YOUR WAY
• A big capture button in the middle, onion skin and play right beside it.
• Capture on ones, twos or threes, use a countdown, or shoot a time lapse.
• Hands free auto capture takes the frame when your hands leave the scene.
• A warning tells you when the camera has moved since the last frame.

A TIMELINE THAT KEEPS UP
• Thumbnails you can resize with a slider.
• Drag frames to reorder them, select a range to reverse, duplicate or delete, and hold a frame for longer.
• Undo everything.

MAKE IT A REAL FILM
• Titles, captions, arrows, boxes, circles and your own images on top of your frames.
• Choose which frames they appear on, and move or resize them right on the picture.
• Solid colour frames and title cards, plus a soundtrack.

ANY SHAPE OF VIDEO
• Widescreen, 4K, square, tall stories, portrait posts or cinema.
• Crop every photo in the project at once by dragging a box.

SHARE IT ANYWHERE
• Export a video with your music, an animated GIF that loops anywhere, or picture frames for editing.
• Never a watermark.

GREAT FOR CLASSROOMS AND FAMILIES
Simple enough for a first film, deep enough for a school project. Your projects stay on your device. No account and no tracking.
