Ratings and reviews

The puzzles are mostly good, and the ability to select the specific type of puzzle is nice so you can work on a specific part of your game. There are little annoying quirks sometimes where the app will tell you the solution is wrong because you promoted a pawn to a queen instead of a bishop (obviously a queen would accomplish the same thing). I have to take off a star for that.

It's nice, but I honestly don't see what this can do that Lichess can't if you have an internet connection. The main use case I can see is if you don't have access to the internet. The UI is great and the app itself simple but effective. You're limited to 7 puzzles a day without paying a fee, but there are no ads. If you don't like Lichess for some reason, this is a good option if you're willing to pay.

The app is alright with plenty of good puzzles. many of the suggestions about the puzzles, however, are inaccurate and misleading (e. g. play to win a took, which is basically exchanging a pawn from the 7th rank with a rook, a fair exchange more or less). update: I didn't know about the rating gain increase. that's very useful indeed. thank you for the thoughtful response.
