About this app

OfflineGPT is an experimental AI studio on your phone.

Chat with local models, connect your own API when you want, and explore OfflineGPT tools — including on-device Python (Power Mode). It should feel like a capable AI chat, but it’s built as a playground for people who like to experiment: try models, try tools, keep control.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Local AI is slower than cloud AI — performance depends on your phone and model
• Best on modern devices (Android 12+, 6–8 GB RAM recommended; Android 10 / 4 GB minimum)
• Some tools and API features need network when you use them
• Experimental features can fail or produce imperfect results
• OfflineGPT is not a drop-in replacement for every cloud AI product

Ratings and reviews

I haven't actually tried it yet, but I downloaded it, and it's like downloading two gigabytes of data, which is probably all of the information that it uses. It should be more than efficient on a modern device, especially with an NPU and a high-powered processor. All the negative reviews are probably from people who don't have the most recent phones, phones that don't have NPUs. On the S25 Plus, with a 4.5 GHz processor, a GPU, and an NPU, replay started 1 -1.5 seconds VERY FAST!! SLOW

only downloaded it as an experiment; I have my own solutions for running AI. but as far as local AI running on your phone, I can't imagine needing more than this. it's not for everybody - it relies on your own hardware, so it might not be as fast as you're used to (though on my pixel 10 it runs pretty quick). but if you're knowledgeable enough to understand what the point of the app is, I think you'll really enjoy it

Not sure why this app has so few downloads and reviews so far, but it's one of the best offline ai's I've used. It runs smooth as butter on my device. It has so many options, features, and models to choose from. Upgrading to premium is optional, the app still works great without it. The upgrade is a one time purchase and pretty cheap at around $12 USD. The features you get from premium are more than worth it I'd say.
