Off-Mesh is a native Android application designed to visualize and monitor decentralized communication networks based on Meshtastic and MeshCore.
Designed for amateur radio operators, preppers, hikers, emergency response teams, and anyone interested in off-grid communications, Off-Mesh allows you to see all active mesh network nodes in your country and around the world in real time, without relying on centralized servers or conventional telecommunications infrastructure.
WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH OFF-MESH
— View all active Meshtastic and MeshCore nodes in your area or any country in the world on a map, with colors indicating the modem preset type: LongFast, MediumFast, ShortFast, and more.
— Identify MQTT gateways and repeater nodes with a highlighted visual indicator.
— View technical information for each node: hardware, firmware, battery, SNR, RSSI, hops, network role, and last time it was seen.
— Search for any place in the world using the integrated search bar. Type the name of a city, town, or area, and the map will automatically zoom in to that location, showing active nodes within a 50 km radius.
— Switch between five map styles: Liberty, Positron, Bright, Dark, and the new Satellite mode with high-resolution aerial imagery. Satellite mode requires an internet connection; the others also work offline if you have the map downloaded.
— Download offline maps of your country, region, or autonomous community for use without an internet connection. Compatible with all countries worldwide, with detailed subdivisions for Spain, the United States, Italy, Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, and Canada.
— Mark a target location on the map with a long press and get distance and bearing from your GPS position.
— Share your location or the target location via any messaging app.
— Switch between day and night modes depending on lighting conditions.
— Fully translated interface in Spanish, English, French, German, Italian, and Portuguese, with automatic device language detection.
TECHNOLOGY
Off-Mesh is a native Android application built with React Native and MapLibre. Vector maps are sourced from OpenFreeMap, based on OpenStreetMap® data.
Satellite mode uses imagery from ESRI World Imagery. Nodes are synchronized in real time from the meshtastic.es and meshmap.net APIs for Meshtastic, and map.meshcore.io for MeshCore.
The app does not require an account, does not store personal data, and does not send any of your information to external servers.
