About this game

We know that you know the right way to play Spades but sometimes your friend plays a little suspect. đź‘€No matter what rules you play by, Bookbag has you covered. No pen? No problem. Still using a pen? Problem. Please join us in this 21st century so we can show them how get all the books in the bag, with Bookbag.

đź“ť Rulesets
With over a dozen configuration options like score limit, nil bidding & more, you’ve just found your second partner. Hope there’s room at the table! Going to play somewhere else? Save and load anyone’s house rules with just a tap. Are we missing a rule? Contact us with feedback any time.

đź’Ż Scoring
Don’t risk miscalculation in front of other players. We’ve seen what can happen when auntie forgets how to carry the one. Based on your selected rules, Bookbag will automatically calculate the score for you after both teams have penciled in placed their books. 2 plus 2 is 4, minus 1 that's 3, quick maths.

đź•“ History
Keep track of games in progress as well as finished games on the history page. After a game is finished, generate a game summary to share with everyone involved. Also tell Tiffany she lost by 50 points last year on March 3rd. She forgot.

đź“ş TV
You know Granny can’t see what you’re doing on that cellular phone. Give everyone involved a little more confidence by showing the scoreboard on the TV with Chromecast. A phone is for making calls... and scoring books.

Intuitive and easy to set up. The basics are already there, you just need to tweak it for your own house rules. The app easily handles the math, and knows how to properly score for bags, Nil, blind, even reneging. The Chromecast option is a nice touch, too, so everybody can see the scores without having to pass around a notebook.

Clutch app. I would add a variation for sandbags. Although you may not want to count sandbags, you'll still want to penalize teams that under bid. We do this by capping the number of books you can overbid by at 3 (e.g. if you bid 4 and hit 7 you're set and lose 40 points). Another rule to capture would be total shots. In addition to losing for back to back shots, you may also lose if you get shot on the first hand or if you get shot 3 times in total throughout the game.

Hi Deione, Happy to hear you're enjoying Bookbag so far! I think those rules are valid. Expect your feedback to be reflected in the next update :) Update: these rules are in the app now as of 2.2.0! Best, Sean

This app is revolutionalizing how you play spades in this new digital age! No need for pen or paper and keep your scoresheets for bragging rights forever! The developer is also. Very receptive to notes and constantly updates the app!
