Tabdex turns your freelance client list into a vintage Rolodex that sits on your screen like a real index-card file on a warm wooden desk. Each client lives on a cream card with deckled edges and a colour-coded dot in the corner so you instantly recognise active relationships. The app is organised around four tactile tabs that feel like plastic dividers: Dashboard, All Clients, Add Client, and Search. Your Dashboard greets you with two embossed metal counters showing your total clients and active clients, a quick-add shortcut, and a list of the last three people you added. The All Clients tab scrolls through the full directory, with every card carrying the name in a typewriter font, a contact snip pet, and a small green or grey dot for status. Tapping any card opens the full detail view where you can review the stored contact information, project notes, and current status, then edit or delete the entry right there. Adding a new client feels natural with a clean form that asks for their full name, optional contact details and brief project notes, and a simple picker to set the status to Active, Paused, or Past. Saving writes the record directly to your device’s local storage and immediately returns you to the All Clients list with a subtle confirmation. The Search tab gives you a single text field that filters every card by matching a name or project note, so the right person surfaces in an instant. All of your data stays on your phone or tablet, which means no accounts, no internet dependency, and no expensive CRM subscriptions. The interface avoids checkmarks and clutter entirely, relying instead on embossed numerals, brushed-metal frames, and four physical tab colours—blue, moss green, amber, and coral—that switch views the moment you tap them. The active divider pulls forward slightly and casts a soft shadow, reinforcing the illusion of a real desk tool. Because Tabdex is built for solo practitioners, contractors, and independent professionals, it keeps things lightweight, focused, and free of unnecessary fields. Updating a client’s status from Active to Past or revising their project notes takes just a couple of taps, and deleting a card is as swift as flipping it away. Your client notes remain private, always available, and beautifully organised in a workspace that feels both familiar and remarkably calm.
