SciRead turns free health books and research articles into something you can listen to. Pick a book, press Play, and a clear voice reads it to you, one sentence at a time, while you cook, walk, travel or rest your eyes.
WHY SCIREAD
Good health information is often long and hard to read on a small screen. SciRead makes it easy: listen to it like an audiobook, or read along while the voice marks each sentence for you. It is made for patients and families, carers, students, nurses and anyone who wants to understand health and science better.

• Browse by topic, search by title, or start with a "Good first listen"
• Every book is free, and its licence and credit are shown
RESEARCH ARTICLES

• Keeps reading with the screen off or while you use other apps; control it from the notification, the lock screen or your headphones
READ ALONG
• Switch from Listen to Read to see the whole page
• The sentence being read is marked, and the page follows the voice
• Tap any sentence to hear it from there
• With Premium: change the text size, the font, the line spacing, and use a sepia or dark page
YOUR SHELF
• Save books and articles for later
• SciRead remembers where you stopped in every book

On a tablet, the player sits beside the books, so you can browse while you listen.
FREE, WITH ADS
SciRead is free with an account and shows ads. SciRead Premium, bought in Google Play for 3 months or 1 year, adds three things: the five Premium themes, no ads, and the advanced player controls above. You can also watch a short video for an hour without big ads.
