Colectar is your essential tool for recording, monitoring, and analyzing local rainfall. Developed by Omixom in collaboration with the educational science program Proyecto Matteo, this app allows any user to become a key contributor to building a detailed climate map of our region.

🌧️ Why use Colectar? Accurate rainfall measurements are fundamental for agriculture, environmental studies, and urban planning. Colectar simplifies this process, allowing rural producers, students, researchers, or any citizen to record their rain gauge readings for free and efficiently, directly from their mobile phone.

Easy and Intuitive Recording: Enter your rainfall measurements (mm) in real time with just a few taps.
Measurement Point Management: Create and manage your own rain gauge (or multiple gauges) by configuring their location on the map.
History and Statistics: Review your entire rainfall history, viewing monthly lists and totals from your profile. Customizable Profiles: Identify yourself with your role (Rural Producer, Educational Institution, Researcher, or Individual Participant) to enrich the value of the data network.
Notification System: Receive alerts on your device about your data and measurement reminders (coming soon).

🤝 Collaborative Network - Project Matteo: By using Colectar, you not only maintain accurate control of the weather in your own area, but you also have the option to participate in the citizen science initiative "Project Matteo." Your anonymous data helps schools and researchers better understand climate patterns, promoting education and environmental awareness.
