good for learning and all but what I care about is that the people who run the app are really nice and are actively trying to improve the app which I think is great since even if you don't like something, you are basically guaranteed to get a response if you tell them about it.

a "lesson" seems to be a quiz. no actual lesson. quizzes ask you to answer questions beginners wouldn't know, including presenting a blank space and being required to type/spell words you've never been taught, or even introduced to previously. it feels disorienting, and I kept going back to look for a lesson somewhere, but no, it seems you are just dropped directly into quizland that you receive no prep for one could still learn this way, but with less efficiency, and greater frustration.

No option to display text to match sounds/pronunciation to written words in the lessons I've tried, so I don't find it helpful. The kids version is much more suitable for beginners in my opinion.
