Good app with plenty of functionality, but a lot of the screen real estate is taken up by "current balance. $XX.XX. auto pay". It should default to be hidden. Not a fan of always having to download a "collage" view of pics which takes time to load, then go into that to download a specific one. Why can't we just pick the only one we want to see first?

Final edit: I'm going up to five stars. My kid recently switched schools and using Los Angeles Unified's site makes me realize just how good I had it with this app. Edit: revising my rating up a second time in response to recent improvements affecting usability. It's not perfect but the dev team seems interested in improving the app and is responsive to feedback. Edit: revising my rating up, as the app seems stable now. Poorly designed interface. Too many clicks to do common actions. Buggy. Freezes frequently.

The application, when trying to scan a qr code is utilizing the wide angle lens of my samsung phone. This causes the scanning to take quite a bit of time, more than a couple of minutes. Otherwise, the application is useful. Sadly my interactions are centered around scanning in and out, and that seems to take a bit of time.
