SafeWay is a traffic-safety assistant that helps you stay aware of accident-prone streets in Lithuania. Using real traffic accident statistics from recent years, the app warns you when you enter or approach higher-risk areas in Kaunas, Vilnius and Klaipėda.


Real-time safety alerts

SafeWay continuously checks your current location against a street-level risk map. When you approach a street segment with a higher historical accident rate, the app sends you a notification so you can slow down, pay extra attention and adjust your route if needed. Risk is shown in three clear levels (low, medium, high), allowing you to understand the situation at a glance.


Live location awareness

The app uses your device’s GPS to detect your approximate position and match it to the street you are currently on. SafeWay can be used while walking, cycling or driving, and is designed to work in the background so that you can keep your focus on the road.


Data-driven risk model

SafeWay’s risk map is built from recorded traffic accident data, aggregated and analyzed by street segment. Streets with a higher frequency of accidents are classified as higher risk, while streets with fewer incidents are classified as safer. The app also highlights both the most dangerous and the relatively safest streets in each supported city, helping you plan safer routes.


Focus on Lithuania

At this stage, SafeWay is optimized for three Lithuanian cities: Kaunas, Vilnius and Klaipėda. The app is intended as a practical tool for local residents, commuters, students and anyone who wants additional awareness of traffic risks in these areas.


Transparency and ongoing development

SafeWay is under active development and is currently being improved through internal and closed testing. This means that some features, risk levels or coverage areas may change over time as we refine the data and algorithms. The app relies on your location to determine nearby risk, but this information is used only for providing the service and for improving accuracy and performance; it is not used for advertising.



SafeWay does not replace safe driving practices, official navigation systems or legal traffic requirements. It is an additional layer of information designed to help you make more informed decisions. Stay alert and travel more safely with SafeWay.
