About this game

Itda is the Korean word-chain game (끝말잇기) that Korean families have played for generations, rebuilt for people learning the language.

The rule is one sentence: the last syllable of a word starts the next one. 사과 (apple) ends in 과, so 과자 (snack) can follow. That's the whole game — and it turns out to be a very good way to learn vocabulary, because every word you play is a word you now know two things about: how it starts and how it ends.

HOW IT PLAYS
• Tap one of four tiles, or type the word yourself
• An AI rival answers every move — it gets sharper as you climb difficulties
• Three hearts, a timer per turn, and a combo that rewards long chains
• Every word you and the AI play lands in your Wordbook with romanization, meaning and on-device pronunciation

DAILY CHALLENGE
One shared puzzle a day. Everybody gets the same board, so scores are comparable — and a streak is something to keep alive.

BUILT FOR LEARNERS
• 1,500+ curated Korean words, chosen so the board never dead-ends on you
• Romanization under every word, meanings in English, Korean, Japanese and Chinese
• Korean pronunciation on tap, entirely on-device
• 두음법칙 (the initial-sound rule) handled properly, and switchable

NO ACCOUNT, NO NETWORK
Itda works completely offline. There is no sign-up, no profile, and nothing to lose if you play on the subway.

ITDA PRO
Itda is free to play. Pro adds the K-pop theme word pack, Speak Mode (say the word out loud to play it), and the Pro & Boss difficulties. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; manage or cancel any time in Google Play › Subscriptions.

Words are our own curation — no dictionary is copied.

Russian: the second difficulty was still labelled "Casual" in Latin letters among the Cyrillic ones. It now reads Обычный.
