Opaque is a zero-knowledge, offline vault for your photos, files and notes. It has no internet access, makes no cloud backups and doesn't let other apps see your files. Everything stays encrypted on your phone, and only you hold the key.

ENCRYPTED, OFFLINE, YOURS
Every file is encrypted with its own key, and the keys are protected by your PIN and your phone's secure hardware. Opaque doesn't even ask for internet permission, so nothing can leave your phone.

• Take pictures with the built-in secure camera so they never touch your gallery
• Write private notes in the encrypted notepad
• Location and camera details are removed from photos automatically

PLAUSIBLE DENIABILITY
Opaque gives you three PINs:
• Primary PIN opens your real vault.
• Duress PIN opens a separate decoy vault that works like the real one, with its own files.
• Emergency PIN instantly destroys the keys to your primary vault and opens the decoy. The primary files are then overwritten with random data and deleted in the background.

RECOVERY PHRASE
When you set up your vault, Opaque gives you a standard 24-word BIP-39 recovery phrase. If you forget your Primary PIN, the phrase is the only way back in, so write it down and keep it safe.

SECURE DELETION
Deleted files are overwritten with random data before they're removed, and the key that could decrypt them is destroyed first, so they can't be read back.

BUILT TO RESIST ATTACKS
• PIN guesses can only be checked on your phone, and repeated wrong guesses lock the vault for longer and longer
• Screenshots and screen recording are blocked
• The vault locks as soon as you leave the app
• No ads, no analytics, no tracking
