It's having problem on Scale degree and chord function. The black note "playing cadence to establish key" is frozen on screen and it's unclear how to do that exercise. It worked after restarting app, it was frozen again but then it worked fine. Perhaps it's due to heavy load on Ram 4GB, I closed my other apps. Happening always in all sections. Just plays the chord after sometime, the black dialog box is frozen.

Hey, is it always doing it? Do you hear something playing? Does it behave different on other exercises / when you restart the app? Update: so I understand from your edit that was a one time thing? Can you explain when it might happen? / How to reproduce?

Best free ear training ap, better than some paid ones. Features i wish existed: scale and chord identification in minor keys (with harmonic minor, etc.), Identification of non-diatonic scale tones and non-diatonic chords (secondary dominants, etc). Scale identification in blues scale, Pentatonic, etc. Melodic/chord progression dictation. This is an awesome app and i hope it continues to grow!!!

Thanks for your warm words! Next version (1.2.1) will enable you to select all 12 notes of a scale (for melodic recognition) so you can form any scale you wish. You can also change the cadence from major to minor. So stay tuned for updates!

Simple but covers pretty much everything you need. Intuitive and very customizable, this app helped me improve my ear training by a lot. So much better than a random youtube video that you have to re-watch and pause every 10 seconds. Overall a great app and exactly what I was looking for.

What’s new

- Improved "Modal Analysis" options in common progressions and chords in real songs, to support both do-minor and la-minor approaches, including for other modes (la-Dorian vs re-Dorian).
- Bug fixes, including a bug where chord buttons were playing in the wrong key after answer
