About this app

OpenPixels makes blurry, noisy or low-resolution photos clearer, right on your phone. Your photos are processed on the device and never uploaded.

What it does
• Enlarge photos 2×, 4× or 8×, or keep the size and just sharpen
• Reduce noise, grain and JPEG compression artefacts
• Pick a model for photos, for best quality, or for illustrations and anime
• Drag the slider to compare before and after, and see how much clearer the result is
• Process several photos at once and save them as one ZIP
• Save results straight to your gallery

Private by design
Processing runs on your phone. There is no server that receives your photos. The app goes online only to download a model the first time you use it; after that it works offline.

No sign-up, no trial, no watermark and no limit on how many photos you process.

Good to know
• Large photos take a few minutes on a phone. OpenPixels shows roughly how long is left, and you can stop at any time.
• Very large photos can only be enlarged a little, to fit your phone's memory. The app tells you before you start.
• It cannot invent detail that was never in the photo.
