About this app
OpenPPG is the official flight computer companion app for OpenPPG paramotor pilots. It records your flights, shows live telemetry from the OpenPPG Sigma controller over Bluetooth, and gives you a clean cockpit display you can read in the air.
Built for paramotor and paragliding pilots.
What you can do
- Record every flight with a high-resolution GPS path, ground speed, altitude, and duration.
- See live telemetry from the OpenPPG Sigma controller over Bluetooth Low Energy: throttle, motor RPM, ESC temperature, battery voltage, current draw, and remaining capacity.
- Watch your position in real time on a moving map (street, satellite, or terrain), with elevation and an at-a-glance HUD designed for sunlight readability.
- Configure loadouts (motor type, propeller, battery size or fuel tank, wing make and model, pilot and equipment weight) so endurance and battery estimates are accurate.
- Keep a personal flight log with sortable history, equipment context per session, and CSV export.
- Continue recording in the background. A foreground service keeps GPS and telemetry capture running while your phone is locked or in your pocket.
- Sign in to back up your loadouts and flight history to the cloud, so they follow your account across devices.
- Optional friend sharing: see live position and basic telemetry from other pilots flying with you.
Designed for in-flight use
- High-contrast HUD designed to be glanceable through goggles in bright sun.
- Large tap targets and minimum interaction during flight.
- Audible and vibration alerts for low battery, low fuel, and lost telemetry.
Privacy and your data
- Your flight data is yours. Sign-in is optional for cloud backup; a restricted offline mode is available.
- You can delete your account and all associated data from inside the app at any time, or from openppg.com/contact.

Hardware compatibility
- Live telemetry: OpenPPG Sigma controller (BLE).
- Without a Sigma controller you can still use the app for GPS recording, mapping, and flight logging on any paramotor or paraglider.
