OPSICLE Terminal turns a tablet by the staff door into a clock-in station.

Staff tap their name and enter a four-digit PIN, or clock in by face where their employer has switched it on and they have agreed to it. Clock in, start a break, end a break, clock out - a few seconds each, and an auditable record in OPSICLE straight away.

FACE RECOGNITION IS OPTIONAL, AND CONSENTED
Matching runs on the tablet against a bundled model, so no Google Play Services are required and the app runs on Amazon Fire tablets too. No photograph is ever stored. What is stored is a mathematical template that cannot be turned back into a face. Every employee is shown a consent notice and agrees with their own PIN before anything is captured, and consent can be withdrawn at any time, which erases the template. Declining costs nothing - the PIN route is complete on its own.

WHAT YOU NEED
An OPSICLE account. In the web app, Settings > Terminals issues a pairing code for one site; you type it into the tablet once and it holds its own credential from then on. There are no user accounts on the tablet itself, and nothing to sign up for here.
