Sanad is a simple app that helps seniors feel that their family is always by their side, and helps family members stay reassured without constant calls or complicated apps.

Instead of worrying all day, Sanad lets your parent or grandparent:
- Ask for help with a clear one-tap SOS button
- Check in with an “I’m OK” button
- Remember important medication times
- Quickly call family members from the same screen

All in one large, easy-to-read interface designed for older adults.

### Key features

• One-tap SOS button
A big red “Need help” button that your senior loved one can press when they feel unwell or need assistance.
It opens the phone dialer with the emergency contact you configured for them.

• “I’m OK” check-ins
A big green button that lets your parent say “I’m fine” with a single tap.
Sanad records the last check-in time and shows it on the main screen.

• Quick family calls
A dedicated “Call family” screen with a short list of the most important contacts.
Each contact has a large “Call” button so your parent doesn’t need to search through the full contact list.

• Medication reminders
From the settings screen, you can add your parent’s medications and set their times.
Sanad sends clear local notifications on the senior’s phone when it’s time to take their meds.

• Home screen widget
A simple home screen widget with an SOS and/or “I’m OK” button, so your senior can use Sanad without even opening the app.

### Easy setup for family members

From the settings screen, you can:
- Add and edit family contacts shown on the “Call family” screen
- Choose what the SOS button does (who to call)
- Configure medication reminders
- Configure “I’m OK” reminders (how often to remind)
- Change language and font size

You can set up the app once on your parent’s device, and then they can use it comfortably every day.

### Privacy & data

In the current version (MVP):
- Data is stored locally on the device (events, medications, family contacts)
- No health data is sent to external servers
- Removing the app from the device removes the stored data

Sanad is designed to be a lightweight, human-centered app that helps your parents feel supported, even when you can’t be with them physically.
