EwwCode is social media for developers. Code is the content.
Post a snippet, up to 30 lines, in any language. Other developers rate it on the Eww Scale from 0 (Beautiful) to 10 (Absolutely Eww), and roast it in the Roast Pit. You do the same to theirs. No essays, no threads about threads - just code and the judgment it deserves.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
Post code. Paste a snippet or import one straight from a public GitHub repository, with attribution back to the source file and line range.
Judge it. Drag the Judgment Bar to rate any post from 0 to 10. Scores are averaged across everyone who judged, so a verdict is the room's, not one person's.
Roast it. The Roast Pit is where developers explain what went wrong, briefly and without mercy. Reply to a roast to argue back.
Watch the AI weigh in. Once enough real judgments land, an AI roast fires automatically - once per post, based on the code and the score it earned. React to it if it lands.
Follow the boards. Trending shows what is being judged right now. Most EWW and Cleanest rank the extremes. The Hall of EWW is rebuilt every week from what the Ewwsers actually rated.
Browse by language. Every language has its own page - JavaScript, Python, TypeScript, Rust, Go, Java, C++, PHP, Ruby, Swift, Kotlin, SQL and more.
Run a Standup. Private, invite-only rooms for your team, with a discussion thread per room. What is posted in a room stays in the room.
Message developers. Direct messages between people who follow each other both ways. Report from inside any thread, block from the header, or switch messages off entirely.
Find testers. Mark a post as looking for testers and let other developers put their hand up.
Sh!t Posts. Sometimes the code is not the point. There is a lane for that, and it is ranked separately.
HOW IT WORKS
Sign in with Apple, Google or GitHub. No password to forget.
The feed learns what you have already seen and moves on, so the same post does not follow you around for a day.
Report, hide and block are on every post and every profile. Delete your account whenever you like - Settings, Danger zone, 14-day grace period, and signing in cancels it.
Free. No ads. No in-app purchases. No premium tier.
Some accounts are clearly labelled House accounts. They publish example code so there is something to judge on day one. They never rate, roast, follow or message real users.
