OrcaBe is the lifestyle app that helps you keep on top of your daily routines and make meaningful, in-person connections.

OrcaBe is your social space. View other users in your vicinity and ensure those you connect with are relevant and real. Whether you need an ice-breaker or would like to follow up on a great interaction, OrcaBe is here to help.

Need a little encouragement to get out more and be active? View daily, non-invasive summaries of your day’s activities to give you a little push.

Make informed choices to better your wellbeing and connect with the world around you. Be more sociable. Be more aware of your lifestyle. Be more Orca.

💡 How It Works

OrcaBe works by logging significant changes in location throughout the day and summarising it back to you, the user, by activity type.

Think ‘screen time’, but instead of knowing how much of the day you’ve spent on your device, see how much of your day was spent commuting, at work, out and about, or perhaps just staying at home.

OrcaBe also detects other app users, allowing you to make meaningful connections along the way (coming soon).

Other than the name you sign up with, no information will be shared with other users without your expressed permission.

Wellbeing is at the core of OrcaBe, attempting to help support the 5 Steps to Wellbeing initiative:

Our technology breaks down a day by activity type and lists any users you’ve spent significant time with. Using that information, and a little encouragement from the app, users can break their routine and make positive changes.

Coming Soon: Should you mutually agree to connect with each other, you’ll also see if you’ve ever cross paths with another OrcaBe user in the past. If you’ve spent time near another user, OrcaBe will show this on a map. You’ll also be able to view profiles and continue the conversation within an app chat feature. We’re also looking into introducing location specific promotions for all your favourite retailers. Please stay tuned for exiting updates!

📲 The OrcaBe App

Screen 1 shows your current location and activity. It also shows you whether there are any other users in Bluetooth range.

Screen 2 is the Bluetooth log, so you can see how Bluetooth is working in the background on your device.

Screen 3 is the geolocation log, so you can see how geolocation is working in the background on your device.

Screen 4 is the summary log, which is where all the useful information is processed from screens 1-3.

Screen 5 visualises the location data from screen 4, updating at around midnight every day.
