before your stop.

When you get close, StopAlert rings like an alarm clock — full screen, loud,
even with the screen locked.

WHY A SEPARATE APP
Journey planners tell you which bus to take. StopAlert does the one thing
they don't: it makes sure you actually get off. No route planning, no
account required, no clutter. One job, done properly.

WORKS UNDERGROUND
GPS dies in tunnels. Most alarm apps die with it. StopAlert keeps counting
stops using the time between stations and your phone's motion sensor, then
re-anchors the moment the signal returns. It also widens the alarm margin as
uncertainty grows — better a few seconds early than one stop late.

LEARNS YOUR CITY
Scheduled times and real times are not the same thing. StopAlert measures how
long each hop actually takes on your journeys and uses those numbers for your
next trip. This happens on your phone. You can also contribute anonymously to
improve estimates for everyone — it is off by default and you turn it on.

YOUR LOCATION STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
Distance to your stop is calculated on the device. Where you are is never
sent to us or anyone else. Background location is used only while a journey
is running; when no alarm is set, your location is not read.

Sign in with Google or Apple if you want your favourites, history and
settings on a second phone. The app works fully without an account.

HONEST LIMITS
An alarm depends on GPS quality, battery settings, permissions, volume and
the transit service itself. Tunnels cut signal, aggressive battery savers can
stop background apps, and services run late. Please don't switch off your own
attention on a critical trip.

Live vehicle positions are published for buses only. Metro, Marmaray, tram
and ferry positions are calculated from the published timetable, and the app
says so on screen.

DATA SOURCES
Line, stop and timetable data comes from the IBB / IETT Open Data Portal,
TCDD Tasimacilik and Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality.
